Design of downstream plants after synthesis or fermentation
Since decades already GEA Messo PT has been active with plant design and/or supply in the fields of food related organics, like:
- Citric acid
- Caffeine
- Glutamic acid, resp. MSG
- Lysine
- Threonine
- Special sugar
- Vitamin C
Or related products upstream, like
- Ketogulonic acid
- Sodium ascorbate
- Sodium ketogulonate
As well as with the design and supply of the resp. waste water factories, like:
- Sodium sulphate from Vitamin C production,
- Baker’s yeast (and bioethanol) vinasses concentration with recovery potassium
- Sulphate as by-product
These plants are characterized by effective use of various unit operations beside crystallization as Messo’s core technology; for the food or even pharma related products to warrant their constant quality. Typical unit operations implemented are membrane processes, flocculant supported precipiation processes, treatment with activated carbon, .etc.
GEA Messo PT is operating their own research centre to enable and support this kind of process design.
